I have created this ebook in "course" format so I would have the opportunity to offer you videos and audio as well text. This format also allows me to offer you downloads in different forms.

Within the course format I have the flexibility to bring to you all the information I want to share with you about these artists who have so much to offer through the study of their paintings.

These artists have helped shape my foundation for painting. I've studied these works either in person or from books, and they've helped me in understanding the tools that I need to create paintings that work. When I study paintings there are certain things I look for. I'm careful not to get caught up in unnecessary aspects of painting, like wondering how to match the colors I see or being able to render detail. I think about more important and deeper aspects, like how the artist simplifies form, suggests light, or designs a canvas.

I've created a video for each artist. I hope you enjoy studying these artists.
